Tracking Devices/ Prepaid Phones

When it comes to implanting tracking devices into young children and older people who are suffering from alzheimer's I don't actually think that's a terrible idea. I feel like it would decrease the number of kidnappings and runaways by a significant amount which would be a very positive thing. With the fast pace of today's world it would be good to know where your children are at all times especially when you're not with them. The same goes for older people suffering from memory loss. The tracking shoes would probably be a better less invasive technique to use for both young children and the elderly. Especially because i don't feel like teenagers or kids in their twenties need to be tracked by their parents once they are living on their own. The tracking shoes would be easy for young kids to wear as well as older people and it wouldn't be a permanent thing so one they were no longer needed they can just stop wearing the shoes instead of having to get an implanted chip removed from their body.

I feel like there aren't very many legitimate reasons to why someone would need a prepaid cell phone other than the fact that they might not be able to afford a regular cell phone plan. Other than that i feel like the only time i've ever heard of people using them was for negative reasons such as not wanting to be able to be traced or so that certain secret phone calls can go to that phone while all other normal calls go to their regular cell phone. I think that they should have to be registered just like all the other phones in the world so everyone is on the same level and there would be no questions left about it.

My name is Abby Moriarty and this blog will mainly be about how the internet and 'living in a networked world' have changed the way today's generation lives, thinks, and learns.
